All electronic devices have to carry the crossed-out bin symbol which indicates the correct method of disposal and highlights the potential harm to the environment.

WEEE recycling banks, sometimes referred to as mini recycling centres, are often on-road recycling points featured across a large number of London Boroughs. Featured in grey with purple writing, recycling banks will accept all small handheld electrical items that are unwanted or no longer work. Accepted items include electrical tools, hairdryers, kettles, laptops and mobile phones.
Reuse and recycling centres are council-run sites that take bulkier items and small electrical appliances. Each site has its own rules depending on the local council that runs the site, so it’s best to check what they accept and their opening times.
